The
story follows a boy named Shugo Kunisaki and his sister
Rena who are new players to The World. Rena had won a contest
to win an exclusive character avatar of Black Rose, and
had also entered her brother who won the Kite avatar. The
two decided The World would be a great place to meet up,
since their parents are divorced.
On their first adventure together in The World, they visit
? Bursting Passed Over Aqua Field, where they duo are attacked
by a level 48 Super Armored Shogun, in a beginner's area.
Shugo is defeated by the monster, but is revived by a mysterious
ghost-looking young girl named Aura. After reviving Shugo,
Aura gives him a unique gift, the Twilight Bracelet, and
tells Shugo about Data Drain.
Shugo is transported back to the fight, to see the monster
chasing after Rena, who is swiftly saved by Balmung, of
the Azure Sky. The monster still alive, Shugo tries out
his new bracelet, and Data Drains it, resulting in the monster
transforming into a weak beginners monster.
Rena and Shugo embark on an adventure to unravel the the
many mysteries of the Twilight Bracelet, and to search for
Aura. They will not travel alone however, they team up with
players they befriend like Mireille the Wavemaster, Ouka
the Werewolf, Hotaru the friendly Wavemaster, and Sanjuro
the Heavy Blade.
