.Hack Infection was one of the most anticipated games of 2002, although it didn't make its release in that year. Lots of people were awaiting its release, but were disappointed to hear that its release was to be delayed. Once it was released, people did have different opinions on this game, perhaps it was the originality of this game that took players by surprise, or the fact that they storyline was totally different from any other game they have played. In my opinion, it is one of my favorite games to date.
If you are picky with graphics, you may be a little disappointed with the lack of cut-scenes in this game, but the in-game graphics is nothing to complain about. Sure their not the most crisp and clean graphics when comparing with the next-gen graphics, but they aren't too bad for the PS2.
The game play would have to be the one fault in the game, the camera style was the main thing, especially during battle. It was hard to see what you were doing during a fight with a monster, or getting the right zoom on your character when exploring through a dungeon.
Besides this small fault, the overall game play was most impressive, with the communication with other characters running around the root town, and the way you encounter a monster, its all very different, very original, and very entertaining.
The music was another aspect of the game that was most enjoyable. The different types of music at the right times, the battle theme's, and just the sounds that you hear throughout the game was spectacular.
