So some of you may remember last year I took part in a charity event called Extra Life.
Extra Life is a 24-hour gaming marathon to fund pediatric cancer research and treatment founded by the founder of a gaming website called Sarcastic Gamer. Last year I asked some of you to donate some of your hard earned money to be a hero for a child and their family by donating $24. Even though I was only able to get one person to donate for me I was able to participate in this great event with a few of my friends for the whole 24 hours.
I come to you all once again asking to be a hero to a kid fighting for their life in a battle bigger than most of us cant even imagine. And I hope the same person will post in this thread and tell their story like mine, they have been effected by pediatric cancer in their life.
I had a nephew-in-law (was a child from another marriage) who had pediatric cancer. I would bring my PS2 to the hospital and we would play some games that I would rent a few days before and practice so I would hope to stand a chance. However he would always kick my butt at whatever I would bring with me. The smile on his face whenever he would beat me was worth getting pwned. I rented SoulCalibur 2 and was practicing for two days and then I got a call from my sister telling me he passed away the night before. I never took that game back. I placed it in his coffin with a controller and told him to pwn everyone up there. I didnt find out until a month later that he was a regular at the local arcade before they found the cancer.
I did this gaming marathon for him last year and I lasted the full 24 hours. I am going to do it again! But I need your help.
Please donate. http://waystogive.texaschildrens.org/NetCommunity/Page.aspx?pid=210&frsid=1644
