How do you make decisions? Not the easy stuff like "what's good for dinner tonight?" I mean actual, hard decisions. I sometimes suffer from indecisiveness that I thought this would be helpful as well as interesting.

well...I usually try to figure out what would be best. Like whatever seems to have the best outcome.
Like when I got out of highschool I had to decide whether to stay with my mom or go live with my dad. Mom lives in Kansas City with my step dad, Kevin, who I don't like or get along with.... My dad lives in St. Louis. I also didn't really get to see him that much growing up either. I'm not going into that though...
So it was either live with someone I hated or live with someone I hardly knew but wanted to know. I thought I'd have a better life with my dad so I chose to live with dad for awhile.
Of course that's just one example..

well i usually base my decisions on my morals. Although my morals aren't that great seeing how only a few months ago i gave my ex-boyfriend a BJ -_- (plz don't judge me. i learned my lesson and now i'm in a healthy relationship with a guy who's all for abstinence).

i guess from a young age you're taught right and wrong so many decisions are just 'what's right' but at other times i judge how other people will feel and how i will feel about the outcomes. but that's only when i have time to think about them! otherwise its instinct, spur on the moment and hope =D
for example i had to choose whether to do sixth form at my school or go to college, you can do Alvs in both places. I decided to stay at my school because it would suit me more, but other people chose to leave because they needed a change or wanted a little more freedom
and also another example is when my brother had to decide what to do after Alvs, whether to go straight to uni or take a gap year. He decided to work in england for a bit, then got a grant to go out to africa to help kids their by coaching basketball!! then he's gona go to uni after. that was the best decision for him.. but he had to consider all the alternatives..

For me, to put it simply: "Morals" and "What sounds good".
My morals are rather high, so it influences what I think sounds good.
Believe it or not, it is sometimes a tough decision for me to decide what I want for dinner. Some of you may think it's easy, but I find it rather hard when I have a decent range of tastes that I can't put one above the other. lol
@Eraga: "Don't judge me." You sound like my sister-in-law (it's a good thing). She says that all the time, so I teasingly say "I'm judging you!", with tone that implies a friendly tease. Its good that you are in a health relationship now. http://dothackportal.com/forums/images/smilies2/smile.png

once u really look at it there is no right or wrong, good or bad, or good and evil. society just likes to categorize things that way to either maintain or manipulate the people. i mean once u really look at it evrything just is wat it is. i would get into a really deep conversation about this but i gotta go eat a potato =D

It's never easy to "do the right thing", because what's right for you might be awful for someone else. I tend to think too much, overanalyze every detail, and make up my mind when I'm sure enough that it's the best thing to do. I'm not the kind of person who asks her friends for advice, I usually keep things to myself.
Though I always end up regretting my choice, even if it seemed like the best thing to do at the time.

Haha, I know that feeling.
It's rather hard to "do the right thing." You may picture it clearly in your mind, but when it comes down to doing the deed there are times when all human instincts urge against it.
For example: Jean Valjean (known at the time as M. Madeline, the Mayor of M--sur M--) rushed to the Court of Azzise (I'm too lazy to check the book if I spelled anything right. Bear with me.) to turn himself in. An innocent man, who as fate would have it looked exactly like M. Valjean, had been caught and was answering for his crimes. Jean knew what he would be getting into, but for more than a quarter of an hour he had to struggle against his instinct of self-preservation, as well as other emotions.
Sadly, it isn't just "right or wrong" in the world. It's all grey. We just have to struggle along and hopefully stay on the right path.

I do stuff. Someone asks me if I wanna go do something, I say 'yes' unless I can't. That's pretty much how I view the world. Meh. http://dothackportal.com/forums/images/smilies2/rolleyes.png
I sat around all day today. Ate ramen cause I had to. Cleaned room because...okay, destroyed room because I got lazy half way through cleaning and decided to sit here and talk on here. lol :o
