My very first website I ever created, was with Geocities, and it was dedicated to my favorite game of all time (to this day still), Final Fantasy VII. This is around the time I had my first computer, I remember writing about news on Final Fantasy X, the first bits of coverage released for it.
My second site was in HTML, and was called Final Fantasy Fayth. I had a good friend of mine create the layout and banners, and I created the content. This soon evolved into a larger site which I called Cross Blade.
Cross Blade was my first website that I did all on my own, and in PHP. It made creating content much easier on me, and I had a lot of it. My design was unique, and dare I say a mold for future websites, other websites often praised me for my unique design.
Cross blade was around for several years before I converted it into a Final Fantasy 11 website, dedicated to my first MMORPG that I ever played (and still do on and off). I dumped that, and came out with net-slum.net.
After net-slum, I made a site called radiatastories.com, which was for the upcoming game by Square Enix, Radiata Stories. It was the top website for RS, and was very popular. Due to issues with my ex, I lost the domain, AND the website.
I later made a website called Square Harmony, to be dedicated to everything Square Enix related. I loved it, the design, the content, it was all so pure. But due to not having any money, I lost the domain name, and the person I was hosted with decided to take my hosting away.
I created .hack//Portal. And never plan on letting it go.
My love for RPG's is no secret, especially when it comes to Final Fantasy. I have so much content left over from my previous websites, it would be a shame to let it all go to waste.
I created Square Fragment. http://www.squarefragment.com/
This will be the ultimate resource for Square Enix news, media, and content. Anyone can create content from the comfort of their own home, any computer, without having to know PHP, HTML, or any coding. You don't need access to the server, all thanks to Drupal.
I chose Drupal as a project to expand my knowledge with content management systems, and i'm sure it will catch on in the online RPG gaming website world. The most popular right now, is Wordpress. People base their main page, or even their entire site off Wordpress due to its great comment and news system. Drupal can achieve the same results, with a more complex way of adding content, images, videos, and more.
I will be working on this website when I just don't feel motivated to work on .hack content. If you share a passion for the games by Square Enix, then give me a PM if you would be interested in joining me with this project!
There is no limit or minimum to how much content you can provide. If your doing such a great job as a Content Writer, your position can be upgraded to more roles and permissions. Eventually, you may become an Admin such as myself!
You've seen the success of .hack//Portal, Squre Fragment can, and will be the same, be apart of it! Just PM me if you are interested.
