i believe in teen love...well mainly cuz im a teen and I think im in love...so many people have told me me and my boyfriend austin(karakuri) wont last much longer.i believe we will but i just wanna know what you guys think.

so tomorrow will be our 3 month anniversary.we met through my friend amber which he went to school with. im 13 and he is almost 17. <----- people say that isnt right but there are much more worse things in the world so they can get over it. everything has been going great except for a few arguments.we both trust eachother more than anything.lets just say he kinda saved me from myself..if it wasnt for him i probally wouldnt be her(wasnt such a good girl...lets just put it at that) i feel safe with him i feel like i can tell him everything.. we are both very different from eachother that is why most of my friends hate them but who cares lol.so....what do you guys think true love or teen crush???

Nothing wrong with age difference.. Just that when it comes to make love.. you have a age restriction oO.. Actually saying it's either true love or teen crush is hard.. i'd say Teen crush... As of i've seen that scenario way too many times before.. and also because i don't think true love exists.. i call it a lie!

And i'm one of the so called bad cops on this forum.. so don't worry i guess there will be a good cop showing up soon..

Being too different and being too alike are both bad in a sense of way.. And we here at the forum can't make a judgment on your differences as of we don't see you and how you are together in real life.

Everyone is different from one another in different ways.. The only type of people that can be more or less completely alike are twins.. but yet they have their differences aswell.

our differences are like the types of friends we have, music, clothes, and views of solutions to problems<---- if ppl were wondering. and yes true...i would trust my friends but all they ever say is dump him you dont need a bf...then they leave...to go hang out with there bfs...stupid friends

As long as you're happy with him it shouldn't be that big of a problem.
Just be realistic and don't lie to yourself.
A lot of people these days toss the word "love" around as if it was meaningless.
Not saying that you are, don't misunderstand me.

I'm seventeen and I haven't been inlove, but I've had two boyfriends.
I really liked them but never loved them, and I think there's a huge difference between those two feelings.
Although I have to say that at the moment I'm starting to fall for someone and that is... A strange feeling.

Heh. Teen crush, hands down. I haven't heard about one successful relationship from the high school life make it past high school graduation. If it makes it past high school graduation, I'll be surprised. High school love doesn't last forever.
3 months isn't anything. Make it a year, and thats something. Make it 5 years, you've got/had a good one. Make it a life time, you found your true love.

I agree with Vashnik and Wold. High school relationships don't really last, now-a-days anyway.

I guess it depends on what your definition of true love is.

I think that "true love" is all subjective. As far as age difference and such, I don't believe that it matters at all, that is if you ignore law like I do... >,>

Watarai and the others are right though, most high school relationships generally don't last long. Just remember that only you know weather you are in love or not. No one else can decide that for you.

Also, always remember that you CAN NOT pick whom you fall in love with, so never limit yourself. It'll just kill you in the end.

Yes, but (the way I see it), teenagers often are unable to differentiate between childish crushes, infatuation, and love. So one might think they're in love, but it may turn out they just have a crush on the person, or are experiencing a short-lived infatuation.

Ghost

I believe that there are countless kinds of love, and varying degrees of it. I believe that I truly loved everyone that I have ever been with, but in different ways. The way I see it infatuation, obsession, crushes, they are all love, maybe not "true" love, but love none the less. Love is just a very fleeting thing, it comes in many forms and teenagers are far more pron to catch it, and often. But then again, as with most things horribly subjective. ><
But I agree with you Watarai, but only to an extent. http://dothackportal.com/forums/images/smilies2/smile.png

Not love again XD Ok, I was in one serious relationship. It started when I was fifteen and lasted nearly ten years. Neither one of us was happy anymore. People just change too much especially at an age like that. Anyway, by the time that ended, I decided it wasn't something I wanted to try again. At least not for a loooooooooooooong time. In all honesty I'm enjoying having the option to be as selfish as possible with all my time now. I do what I want to when I want to. It works for me. I haven't tried to or had any desire to see another guy since. Even if I suddenly changed my mind one day, I'm already too old and out of options XD

I don't get 'love'. >< I'm not sure what it's like, how it's supposed to feel, or anything...
It just seems kind of illusional to me.

You're right Zym, it is an illusion. There is nothing tangible about love, there isn't even a true definition of love. Love is an emotion, a feeling inside, and it might be the same for everyone, but who knows? We love in many ways, and we love many people and many things, all differently. Love changes over time, and that is why many young loves end, young people change much more than older people. What is true love? I don't really know, I just know it is what my wife and I share. It started with that same infatuation that most young loves start with, but as we changed over the years, it grew and changed with us. We feel comfortable with each other. Do high school romances last? I have two daughters who, after college, married their high school boyfriends, and things are going just fine for them. It can last, but most don't.

Take care and enjoy your youth. Don't feel the need to be tied to one person yet, just go with what your heart tells you, you have plenty of time. If you stay together, that is good, but if things don't last, there is always another day.

Love is just a very fleeting thing

Yes, but usually love that's serious lasts, even if the relationship doesn't. Feeling do change over time, emotions are fragile things, which is why I personally am still not entirely sure of what I consider love.

Eh, my apologies for debating in your thread, that_one_raver_chick_xoxo.

I feel your pain, reimei... at least, I'm pretty sure I do. I might not now though, as on the 14th of next month I'll have my 1 year with my girlfriend. It's right after prom, so maybe you'll all get to see my face finally. http://dothackportal.com/forums/images/smilies2/smile.png But I digress.

My girlfriend occasionally asks me why I fell in love (yeah, I basically can't live without her http://dothackportal.com/forums/images/smilies2/tongue.png) with her or what ade me do so, et cetera. I always think "I dunno. I just did." That's what I think love is: that unexplicable feeling you get when you finally see that special someone.

So yeah. I basically I'm living by oldwrench's post. (But then I read his signature...) http://dothackportal.com/forums/images/smilies2/smile.png

Love is fickle; it comes wearing many masks, and many things come bearing its stamp.

It's difficult to distinguish true love from everything else, due in no small part to the fact that as you branch into that part of the emotional spectrum, everything begins melting into a single base feeling that is impossible to describe.

If you truly love one another, you won't be able to stand being apart. To truly love someone is to mold them into your soul and take a part of them with you everywhere.

It's been a year since I saw her, but I see her face in my mind every morning and afternoon and night.

I like sponges that have different smells.

Me and Holly really do have many emotions toward eachother and we can honestly see ourselves being together for a very long time. The 20th of May will be our 5th month together And I can't wait. My parents love her and her parents love me lol. Me and her have a perfect chemistry together. We think the same way about many things and sure we have our fair share of arguements but they end a couple minutes later. I know some of you say teen crush, but to me its more than that. I love her. Nothing in the world, not even death could keep me from here. Because even in my afterlife, my spirit will always be with her. She means more to me than any girl ever has.
